Fraser Deep Tissue Massage
Deep Tissue Massage and Neuromuscular Therapy (NMT) use deeper pressure and Trigger Point Therapy to work areas of acute and chronic pain. It is often used to treat neck and back pain, rotator cuff issues, tendonitis, and areas recovering from injuries. NMT targets specific muscle groups by working with the trigger points on the belly and tendons of the muscles for release of pressure on the nerves, helping to relieve pain and tension.
When to Consider a Deep Tissue Treatment
Conditions that require deep tissue massage often derive from work related posture problems, sports injuries, repetitive motion, or problems that have developed from ongoing stress and tension. These can result in persistent muscle pain that commonly occurs in the neck , lower back, shoulders, arms and legs.
Benefits of this Massage Technique Include:
- Release of tension and tightened muscles in affected areas
- Release of pressure on nerves
- Chronic pain relief
- Improved flexibility and mobility
- Improved posture and physical performance

A Good Kind of Pain
During a session of deep tissue massage, some clients may experience a level of tenderness that can be termed a “hurts so good” type of discomfort. This sensation signifies the initial and natural untightening of a muscle or muscle group. Jill Suffin Body and Energy Works always remains aware of a client’s comfort during treatments.
